Spring Meeting & 2018 Season Plans
Saturday, March 17, 2018
Golden Gate Yacht Club

It's a great way to kick off another season. Greet old friends and make some new ones. The Spring Meeting is the place to get reconnected for another year. Mark your calendars for March 17th at the Golden Gate Yacht Club in San Francisco, then come spend the day. For that matter, bring your boat over Friday evening and get settled in for the weekend.

Commodore Robert DaPrato, and GGYC members Gary & Pat Salvo are planning a great event, so come by boat, or by car if that doesn't work. Saturday morning it's time for Attitude Adjustment. The vast expanse of glass overlooking San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate, the open air of the Race Deck with the same view, and the cozy porch overlooking all the new docks in the Marina, are all just steps from the top of the stairs where you can sign in, get name tags, then get your beverage of choice at the bar. All that between 1130 and 1200.

Golden Gate YC always does a great job for lunch and Pat &anp; Gary have ordered up a fine buffet lunch, and still only $30 per person.
  • Choice of: Marinated Tri-Tip or Poached Salmon with lemon butter sauce
  • Au Gratin Potatoes
  • Pesto Cheese Tortellini
  • Haricots verts
  • Caesar Salad
  • Dessert

Choose your entree below with your reservation, so GGYC will know what to prepare. Meals are $30 per person. That's from 1200 to 1315 hours.

We need to give GGYC a Firm reservation count, so get your reservation in early!

We've always got lots to cover: Eric Mueller will extole the 2018 Racing program with something for all types of racers, and "acting cruise chair" Robert DaPrato will dazzle you with wit, spirit and the 2018 Cruising program. Both will encourage you to mark up your 2018 calendars with Islander events before any other temptations get in the way.

Kame Richards of Pineapple Sails will be our featured Guest Speaker. Here's a chance for both racers and cruisers to hear from a Bay Area expert about today's best choices for sails and how to fly them for speed, safety and longevity. Come listen and get your questions answered by a pro!

You really don't want to miss this event. If you don't bring your boat, come by car - and bring your crew too.
