Spring Meeting & 2024 Season Plans
|
Revised Plan and Schedule - Read On. We've been able to reduce the price by relocating the business meeting and Kame's presentation to the RYC Regatta Room, then move to the dining room to individually order food off their Galley Menu. Prices range from roughly $13 - $25, with no registration fee. Here is the revised timeline for the Spring Meeting Saturday March 16th: 1530 - 1600 I-36 Business Meeting, including Commodore Egan Welcome Racing plans Cruising plans Membership Report Treasurer's Report 1600 - 1700 Speaker Kame Richards' Presentation on Tides & Currents 1700 - ???? Continue Attitude Adjustment, then order off the Richmond YC Galley Menu. So, with much lower costs to our members, we encourage everyone to sign up, and bring the whole family and crew members! It's a great way to kick off another season with our 2024 focus on helping folks enjoy racing and cruising an Islander 36. The Spring Meeting is the place to get reconnected for another year. Our special guest speaker is highly regarded skipper and sailmaker Kame Richards. He will be addressing the importance of tides and currents on San Fancisco Bay for both racers and cruisers. So, mark your calendars for March 16th at the Richmond Yacht Club, then come spend the day. For that matter, with the reviswed schedule of events, it's easy to bring your boat over on Saturday. Tie up for free docking. Enjoy the meeting and dinner, then spend an enjoyable night aboard your boat. Head for home on Sunday. We may open Kame's presentation to Richmond YC members as well. However, the Regatta Room is limited to about 50 people, so it's important that all I-36 members get their reservations in as early as possible. And, we need to give Richmond YC a signup count by about the 11th, so get your reservation in early! Please fill in the Reservation Form below to save your space and come have a great time. If you are unsure how many will join you, send in an initial reservation now, then send a revised one later. If you have questions, email Commodore Rick Egan. |
