|
|
Here is the timeline for the Spring Meeting Saturday February 28th 1530 - 1600 Cree Partridge and Sean Shigley of Berkeley Marine will be our guest speakers. Cree and Sean collaborated on the creation of Glass Slipper, a carbon fiber Antrim 40 sled with an electric power plant. Additionally, they will share their experience performing over 60 electric repowers. Should tidal conditions allow we may even get a tour of Glass Slipper. (10 foot Draft!)
1600 - 1700 I-36 Business Meeting, including Commodore Egan Welcome Racing plans Cruising plans Membership Report Treasurer's Report 1700 - ???? Continue Attitude Adjustment, then order off the Encinal YC Galley Menu. There is no registration fee, just the price of what you order off the menu. So, with much lower costs to our members, we encourage everyone to sign up and bring the whole family and crew members! To encourage maximum participation, we have even prepaid dock fees for 6 boats at $72 per night to make certain we have dock space for our group. We need a final headcount and boat count 7 days before the meeting so kindly sign up now and keep your Commodore smiling and stress free! It's a great way to kick off another season with our 2026 focus on helping folks enjoy racing and cruising an Islander 36. The Spring Meeting is the place to get reconnected for another year. So, mark your calendars for February 28th at the Encinal Yacht Club, then come spend the day. For that matter, it's easy to bring your boat over on Saturday. Tie up and enjoy the meeting and dinner, then spend an enjoyable night aboard your boat. Head for home on Sunday. Note that the Regatta Room is limited to about 50 people, so it's important that all I-36 members get their reservations in as early as possible. And, we need to give Encinal YC a signup count the week before, so get your reservation in early! Please fill in the Reservation Form below to save your space and come have a great time. If you are unsure how many will join you, send in an initial reservation now, then send a revised one later. If you have questions, email Commodore Rick Egan. |
