Welcome to the 2008 Cruise Schedule. As we get details for individual events you can Click on the "Get Details / Make Reservation" links for more information for specific events, and to let the Cruise Coordinators know you are joining the fleet. On-line registration forms will also be available for the current event on the Events page about a month before the event. Sat, March 15	Spring Meeting - San Francisco Yacht Club in Belvedere. Race Chair Michele Williams will be organizing a Rules Clinic for the morning, before the lunch and Spring Meeting. That's a good reason to sail over on Friday night, or drive in early on Saturday. Cruisers are encouraged to attend - learn that the rules are easy and no barrier to coming out and enjoying some racing!! The Spring Meeting will cover the Race and Cruise programs for 2008. Sat/Sun, April 26-27	Encinal Yacht Club and our fabulous Shopping Night at Svendsens. Don't miss it! We're looking at lunch at Encinal on Saturday - so come Friday night or early on Saturday - then on to Svendsens for wine & cheese and Really Great Prices. Then stay on for the Sunday Sail Trim Clinic. Coordinator: Kathryn Munn Hodgkins.
Sun, April 27	Sailing Clinic for Cruisers & Racers at Encinal YC on the Sunday of the Encinal Cruise/Svendsen's Night. Morning chalk-talk and dockside session will be followed by on-the-water afternoon practice. It's great for cruisers as well as racers. Handling your boat effectively in the prevailing conditions and knowing when to change gears is an essential skill for all sailors. Racers and cruisers alike crave comfortable, fast and adventurous sailing experiences. We'll have Kame Richards from Pineapple Sails as our speaker - you don't want to miss this! Sat-Sun, June14-15	South Beach Yacht Club Cruise & Bay Bridge Series Baseball Game (A's vs. Giants) We have up to 10 slips reserved, and 25 Ball Game Tickets - so if you want to get on the list, better sign up soon! Details: Reservation form here. Coordinators: Dan & Myphi Knox

Fri-Sun, July 4-6	Here's a great treat for the July 4th weekend. First, catch the Friday flood tide to ride it all the way up the Napa River to Tim & Rhonda Shea's house. Sat-Mon Aug 30 - Sept 1	Labor Day blue water sailing opportunity with a downwind sail to Half Moon Bay. Tie up to the security of a mooring ball in this protected harbor. The Half Moon Bay Yacht Club usually puts on a great party with food and entertainment. Catch a dingy ride into the harbor or to explore the shore. Coordinator: TBD
Fri-Sun, Sept 12-14	All Islander Rendezvous - The Estuary Click to enlarge It was such fun last year we're trying it again: it's the 2008 All Islander Rendezvous. Arrive Friday night if possible - dinner at the Oakland Yacht Club. Saturday, arrive by early afternoon for a fun race, with the cruisers as spectators - racers are invited to come for the day. Then dinner at Encinal Yacht Club, and finally, a Sunday breakfast at Oakland YC to finish it off. For those who have not spent time looking at other Islanders, you will be amazed at the variety of styes and the injunity with which owners have added great gadgets and conveniences to their boats. Sat, November 1	Fall Meeting & Winners' Dinner - Oakland Yacht Club. Come celebrate the race winners, cheer the cruisers, and be amazed how nice people look in their good clothes!!! It's time to elect 2009 Officers, while giving thanks to all who helped make 2008 a great year. The entire upper floor of this beautiful Yacht Club will be reserved for our use.
