GGYC - City Front Races

It was a good sailing day with quite steady winds in the 10-14 knot range - quite unusual for June on the bay. the fog never cleared and inland areas didn't heat up, so the thermal never developed. It all made for very good racing conditions that rewarded good tactics and boat handling.

Here is a first: we have short videos of the starts of each race. There are 13 and 19 megabyte files, so you'll probably need a broadband connection to view them. Be patient as it may take a while for your browser to digest them for your viewing pleasure. You get the final countdown and the gun, and the first boats off the line. If you ever wondered what happens on the Race Deck, listen to the background voices. Enjoy. 1st Race, and 2nd Race.
