Hololea Gulf Islands Cruise 3-2010 |
(If you like, you can skip down through the prose and go straight to the pictures below!)
These photos were taken of Holole'a from various other of the 8 boats that
went along on our annual 5 day Amigo's Cruise.
This year we went from Ladysmith to Montague Harbour, to Bedwell Harbour, to Ganges, and then Maple Bay on the last night. This trip was all dock tie-ups at marinas and one Marine Park to facilitate the social end of things.
We had 2 Sceptre 36's (similar to I36, fin keel, skeg rudder) Kluane and Merry Dancer, a C&C 35 Mk II Jameelah, a Catalina 36 Mk I Jet Stream, A Hunter 37 The Beat Goes On, a Catalina 310 Dorelle, A US 30 Blue Tango, and us, I36 Holole'a. It's definitely fun blasting around the Gulf Islands for a few days.
We had mostly decent weather and good sailing winds. I am happy to report that the beer bill was considerably more than the fuel bill (after tying up the boats of course)!
Good Sailing,
John & Marion Rodall
