It was a perfect weather day to celebrate Summer Sailstice 2016 at Encinal YC.

The water was fun for the kids at the pool where there was also a big BBQ and several live music groups that played continuously throughout the afternoon. Three bars set up in the club, at the tent village and at the pool.

Also was a 'pool plunge' demonstration of foul weather gear and life saving devices that took place around (and in) the pool. Alma was there to board and admire its history. Alameda Fire docked their new fire boat with twin 300 HP outboards.

There was an Americas Cup presentation, complete with guards and a chance to see the Cup up close and get pictures.

What a great way to kick off summer and a warm boating season for sure.
